PEPPER, the first public private platform dedicated to the pre-validation of endocrine disruptors characterisation methods, is currently looking for a Chief Scientific Officer.
PEPPER is a non-profit association that deals with the validation of bioassays intending to identify endocrine disruptive properties of chemicals. It organises and contributes to the funding of the validation operations for toxicology and ecotoxicology testing, with a view to conduct such methods to an international recognition such as the one provided by OECD Test Guidelines. Once validated by the bodies in charge of mutual acceptance, such methods can be used in dossiers related to regulations on substances (REACH, Biocides, Phytopharmaceuticals…), products (e.g. medical devices), or environments (e.g. Water Framework Directive).
The Role involves developing strong relationships with Pepper governance, with the research ecosystem where these methods are being developed and with European and international organisations in charge of regulatory acceptance (OECD, ISO…).
